Help Us Give Tasmania's Wildlife a Wild Life!

kanamaluka Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is a not-for-profit native wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centre located in Pipers River, Tasmania.

Our centre is completley funded by donations (more often than not from our own volunteers!). We do not recieve any government funding or subsidies.

With the cost of living so high, we've been struggling to keep up financially. We've also seen a marked drop in donations from previous years.

We rely on your generous donations to keep our doors open so that we can keep up our important work giving Tasmania's injured and orphaned wildlife the care need and the wild life they deserve.

About kanamaluka Wildlife Rehab

kanamluka Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is a family and volunteer run facility. We are government registered and permitted; and registered with ACNC as a not for profit charity.

On site we house, feed and tend to many orphans of different species and stages of development, taking care of their every need, often feeding around the clock until their eventual release.

We also care for lots of injured wildlife - these individuals are often recovering after accidents, surgery, attacks by other animals, human interference or environment related issues such as fire or flood.

The process process of rehabilitation can take months of hard work, resources and dedication for each individual animal.

Other services we offer include:
- 24/7 Joey drop off for public

- Organised drop off and transfer for injured and orphaned wildlife

- Phone advice for rescues and immediate care when trained persons are unavailable
- Assessments and stabilisation of wildlife before transport to vets or other registered wildlife carers.
- Necessary ethical and humane euthanasia of suffering wildlife
- Specialty emergency care, hydration and stabilisation of seabirds and waders.

Please consider donating - Every dollar counts and actually makes a big difference to the animals currently in our care and our ongoing ability to help future wildlife in need.
